The problems with rule breakers are always happening.

I'm still wondering whether or not I should remove jumpinfinity community link in my ItaJump list, but since they do have the files, I'm technically not lying in my entry. It's just their list that was gone.

*sigh*

I'm considering locking that ItaJump list.

Because to delete all that work like admin yachian did, it takes guts and hard feelings... I don't think I'm strong enough to do that.

The list, it's... sort of like my baby. I worked on it since January this year when the episodes were still few enough that I could marathon all the episodes at the time and write summaries for each episode, and now I'm doing it week by week. I fell in love with the show because of its interesting idea, plus it's Hey! Say! JUMP too, I cannot refuse. I could say I am now hopelessly obsessed with ItaJump lol.

At first I just marked some episodes as subbed when I find them, then I added the link to subbed episodes when I was requested to do that. For communities, I read and checked and double checked the rules for sharing. For solo subbers, I asked for permission to include them in the list. These hardworking translators, I am very much indebted to them, and I am so thankful to them. Because both translation and subbing are hard, and I have limited understanding of Japanese. I am also infinitely grateful to uploaders of the raw files.

Just... really, how hard was it to take those files for your own personal viewing? It's not hard at all to download, isn't it? But it's hard to contain your excitement, that you just have to share it around or upload them to streaming sites (I'm guessing that's what happened, but I'm none the wiser).

I know there are people who don't use LJ out there, some of them call LJ users elitist because of the complicated rules of joining etc., and frankly I have been on the receiving end of some of these complicated rules of joining and got rejected, believe me, it still hurts. But think about it. J-fandom itself is quite... what is the exact term... I dunno, exclusive? Ah... maybe not the correct term. It's more like, they seemingly could stand on their own, and not reaching out internationally much...? And not to mention, JE-fandom, oh my. No sooner had things been shared on... streaming websites for example, they'll crack down, and things get deleted.

Though that doesn't deter hardcore fans. I guess.

LJ has privacy function and community feature, which somewhat protect what was shared so at least things stays longer, and get the love it deserved from fans old and new. Like me, late to HSJ fandom by three years back in 2010, learning the ropes of being in LJ and community rules and whatnots all by myself at the time, I have to appreciate the secrecy and complicatedness, the eliteness, of LJ comms. So that I actually could find old videos and stuff and enjoy myself.

All it actually takes, is keeping them to yourself. Yep. Selfish huh. But necessary.

Or like being a closet fan? Haha, um, not quite. I do share a little of my love for HSJ with some IRL friends, though they mostly stayed for a single or two and then move on. Kinda feel lonely though.

Sharing... but not to the point of public sharing like in Facebook. That openness scares me a little, to be honest.

Still, rules have somewhat been keeping fandom alive, so things remain a little bit longer to be appreciated before being outed, or ever. Oh well. I actually did find some things that survive purging thanks to the secrecy. Rules are good and make sense to safeguard fandom, in my opinion.

Anyway, my ItaJump list.

I really considered to lock it.

It may not matter much because subbed videos aren't mine, I just redirect people to the original posts so that they would thank the actual people who did it, and hopefully be responsible with it i.e. following the subber's rules etc. But I owe what few followers of the list I have to keep it going and public for now.
Besides, I recall someone else also posted their list on hey-say comm, which honestly looked neater and more colourful.

Well, the list is about the only one I have that is public anyway. I also have other lists that I kept locked.

But I won't give up the list. It will continue as long as ItaJump is around, or until I couldn't do it anymore. I'll try to give warning if that happens.

We are the same, I Love ItaJump too.. It really helped me find episodes because of the list and links you give so I'm very grateful! Thankyou so much! I imagine you not having real life friends to share your feelings as a fan, it really must be lonely. But, that's what LJ communities are for ne? So that fans can stay connected and share excitements :D.. So don't be sad ❤😊

Sorry for the late reply... well, I don't know what exactly happened, just that the admin of jumpinfinity15 community deleted their list of itajump episodes due to rulebreakers a few days ago. And it's probably just me being paranoid, but I'm afraid if there will be a crackdown and they trace stuff through that list of mine. Maybe I think too much :(

Sorry for the late reply... glad you find it useful. And yeah, it gets pretty lonely sometimes since the ones in real life all live quite far from me so I'm online a lot ^^;; But sometimes it's good not being face to face, I get nervous around people and couldn't talk at all ^^;;

i love itajump too. thank you for your list its very useful. There are other itajump list but imho yours is the most comprehensive. I am a new fan of hsj and because of that i try very hard to join communities in lj. Joining a community is complicated but i keep on trying. I am so happy to find other tobikko since none of my friends know about jump (they probably think I'm weird). Sadly rulebreakers made my fangirling life harder. I am a new member of 10-jump and there is no masterlist there. From your list i also found out that there are 3 episodes of itajump subbed by 10-jump that aren't available anymore (maybe deleted?). Soo sad since I really want to watch those subbed episodes.

About the episodes that aren't available, I think a possible explanation is that the posts they're in are by the mod who had deleted their account, when the mod is no longer on LJ all their posts disappear too. I'm not sure how else to explain it, since it's strange if only a few posts are missing, and I recall 10-jump does have a masterlist before but I can't find it now.
